Curious - if an officer goes into a work on crime-ridden streets every single day without a vest by choice, does he get benefits if KIA? I bet their family would be all for that, no vest and all...
Un-vax'd first responders - doesn't sound so smart. Take away any enhanced benefits until they help themselves first.
Of course his family would still get benefits. Also its not KIA (that's a military term for war) its LOD death.
Compared to what flu shot numbers that most already trust?
Anyone with common sense knows clinical trials are not the end-all / be-all. It's all about risk/reward and if you don't want to take the risk, that's one thing. But to say it's ineffective compared to the alternative, that's completely different.
Sad to say, the MSM has created such a climate of fear around Covid that those who are vaccine-hesitant are having their fearful opinions about the Covid vaccine vindicated by the existence of breakthrough cases.
The UK and Israel have much higher percentages of their 18+ populations vaccinated than the US yet their daily new cases recently reached values near when there was no vaccine. Even here in the US, Vermont has an 87% vaccination rate, yet they have daily new case values equivalent to pre-vaccine days.

And that says to you that vaccine hesitancy is a result of fear of COVID?
In all honesty, it says to me that the vaccine really doesn’t work. If anything contributes to hesitancy it might be fear of clots associated with the vaccine as well as the act of vaccination itself.
If people are truly afraid of COVID, they would all probably drink gasoline if you told them they would be protected.

Yep. Because DELTA wasn't a thing pre-vaccine. Very simple.
It's more contagious, enough so that it makes up for removing half the population (the vaccinated half) from the board. Twice as contagious, ya might say. Probably more.

This is not a mystery.
Um no. We dont have hospitalizations or deaths from the Delta variant that are equivalent to pre-vaccine days.
Where exactly does it say he was fully vaccinated or that all Nassau cops have to be vaccinated? Sounds like the poster is stirring the pot.
the CDC requires all front line workers to get vaccinated....
the cop was working for years, they were the first one vaccinated, remember our heros and first responders were first!
