It’s not the worst place in the world, but when you have the ability to pursue better options Mastic is not worth the time. When you have no other options and your back is against the wall, then maybe Mastic could be a consideration.
Only advantage in Mastic is tax free gasoline.
The only people making big salaries are the school district administrators, and they don't live in district or send their kids there
It looks like you can get an average house in Mastic for around $500k, and there are some .25 acre or larger lots that are selling for less than $150k. The market there may have cooled a little bit.
