you see all of the bad drivers on the road and wonder how they passed (or their driver instructor) the drivers test.

(I'm not from LI, but this place has got to have one of the highest concentrations of bad drivers nation wide, smh).

This thread is great to go back to once in a while, but I am not sure if it makes me happy or extremely sad.

.. you see a young girl wearing oversized sunglasses in a white Nissan Altima blow through a stop sign while on her cell phone almost every day ...
.. you see perfectly fit people without the proper license plates or stickers parking in handicapped spaces, even when you visit the gym...

You get a doormer put on your house to beat out your neighbor. You think you own the street in front of your house. you let your lawn sprinklers hit your neighbors car. you argue with posters of this forum about how foolish they were about moving. But you are planning a move yourself.

Hills supermarket in Patchogue-- my first real job. Theresa and Teddy were the managers. I worked there in 64-66......Gold Coast Too--was bartender/manager from 1966 till 1970. so much fun when the place was jammed--floor shook when you were dancing on the old floor.....The Barge (where Rascals started) in WestHampton--Hot Dog Beach!....drove my father to the Sayville station at 445 AM each morning one summer so I could use the car at age 16.... rented a big house with buddies in 69 (Tom, Pete, Tommy and a few more--it was on middle road near downtown) Girls used to cross the road as they approached the house.... I am 67 but remember these things like it was yesterday! .... Married (again) in 78 and rented house in Poquott with a million dollar view of LI Sound.

We live in New Smyrna Beach, FL

Stumbled onto this thread when searching for information on 'The Broaster House!' So it really did exist. And what about Nunley's? Lollipop Farm?

I haven't read the whole thread yet but a flood of great memories is coming back. I miss Billy Blake and McCrory! But we were so excited when Smithhaven Mall opened up.

I saw Billy Joel perform live, in some basement club, back when he was one of The Hassles. 0_0

They re-opened it!

Been wanting to go there.

Does anyone remember Merrick Manor? I think it burned down some time ago.
