Why are there no Super Walmarts in Suffolk County? I shopped at one for groceries in Pa before moving back here and it was great. The prices were low, the selection was good, the only thing I avoided was the meat, mainly cuz I seldom eat meat.
Someone told me there was some law passed that prohibits Walmart from selling groceries here so the other supermarkets would not have the competition. Is that true????

Most of the smarter towns have found ways to keep them out.

I shop in Wal Mart all the time and I LOVE it..... For a store that so many people hate, the parking lot always seems to be full.

Anyway, I know the one in Farmingdale and the one in Massapequa both sell groceries. No meat, though (except frozen).

One thing is people are so darn distracted at Wal-Mart that criminals know the pickings are good and easy. It takes time to load that mini-van up with all those bargains and the shoppers will do stupid things as they're loading, giving the vermin that hunt around there a chance to take advantage of them.
