I love its uniqness, diversity, cultural amenities, architecture, weather, close to the Pacific, variety of restaurants, cool interesting hoods, shopping choices, most of the people, the natural beauty, the interesting plants and vegetation. Just a few things I love about LA.

6) LA is a MASSIVE city so it's fun to drive around and explore (just know what neighborhoods to avoid ).
7) Brilliant weather. I'm stationed in El Paso where the sun shines for like 364 and 3/4 days. Yet somehow it's still miserable, LA really does have some of the best weather in the country.
8) LA is like the best mix of every quality of all the major cities in the US. It has a slice of everything and everywhere.
9) It's not without it's flaws which I kinda like. It's not super clean and super safe and dull, it is raw, living, breathing and full of character.
10) It kinda marches to the beat of it's own drum, LA doesn't conform lol

Driving is fun, on the freeway when there is no traffic.

But I wish I can get around without needing to sit one minute in a car. Unless this car is not a "car" but a car attached to other cars on a rail line.

YES that would be nice. I would also be nice if the Green Line actually connected to the Airport, if the Expo Line didn't abrubtly end in the middle of nowhere lol and if the damn Purple Line actually went to the Ocean! Someday....someday.

They're trying, as I'm sure you've heard.

You know that Phase 2 of the Expo Line to Santa Monica is under construction?

Oh, and why do I like L.A....

The weather is the best in the world.

I don't have to worry about what I wear when I go to a nice restaurant.

So much to explore.

The architecture is incredibly unique... not many cities can say they started an architectural style.

Everyone loves film.

What is the architecture style that L.A started? Just wondering?

I think the architecture is nicest in downtown, pasadena areas . The older areas.

A lot of nice buildings have been torn down too im sure though.

The not having to dress up too much is a pretty cool one. Not too many places you can't wear jeans.

Art Deco. So much better than the dingbat apartments we have scattered around. All these front lawns and big trees really necessary? It blocks out the architecture.

Yeah Art Deco is nice, although it wasn't started in L.A . I agree about the dingbat apartments..they are a real eyesore ,especially considering so many are rundown. If L.A did not have rent control I bet the city would look a lot nicer. Landlords do not put money into their buildings because they know they can't gain more in rent. Pretty sad.
