Walmart and Target is only a way of life if a person wants it to be.

No one is forcing anyone to buy more than the occasional products from Walmart and Target.

I read somewhere that Los Angeles has more Targets than any other U.S. City.

Very few Wal-marts, lots of Targets. They are opening a Target by the Beverly Center and just opened one in Westwood Village. Target is part of LA.

Yeah, seems like there are tons of Targets around here. I couldn't tell you where there is a walmart, haven't been to one since college.

Because they just reinforce the negative stereotype that Los Angeles is just one giant suburb..

One time I went to Van Nuy's Walmart to get a couple small things for an emergency car repair--holy crap, it was scary.

My experience with Walmarts in CA and other states have been pretty pleasant... but that Van Nuys Walmart was ghetto-fabulous.

Walmarts tend to attract a lower demographic even in nice areas. In Van Nuys, well.....

Funny yous guys say this. I'm from Minneapolis, which is Target's HQ and Target really is everywhere out there. Don't feel like there are too many out here.

Can't wait for that one to open up downtown though.

What about Super Targets? I like being able to get most of what I need at once.
