There is no more easy solution. There will only be more killing most likely. Dorner isn't crazy, he knows what he did and why he did it. He obviously thought about it for some time.

Once we start saying the ends justifies the means, you and everyone else is fair game too. Once a society decides that "whatever it takes" is okay, it will always take whatever it takes.

Two people got shot at by the PD because they were doing whatever it takes. Always much easier to say when it isn't you. Right now, in the heightened state of mind many in the PD are experiencing, the danger to innocent people has gone way up.

Whatever it takes, until it comes to you and then suddenly where is my due process?

Selective or not, he killed the daughter of someone he held a grudge against. That too me goes so far beyond reasonalble thinking I can imagine how anyone could even come close to thinking he is mentally deranged to some degree...

Yes, we all realize the Cops shot two innocent people, we could go on about that for ever. Were you in Los Angeles during the Watts riots? Yes, there are going to be more killings, and I hope they are not innocent bystanders...

I find it hard to believe that Dorner lying about his experience with the LAPD.

What is the whole story? I don't know, you don't know and my guess there are 2 sides to it, but no, the LAPD did not create this lunatic.

Why do you find it hard to believe he is lying? I don't find it hard to beleive, nor do I find it hard to believe the LAPD might have done something wrong and the story probably goes so much further than any of us know..Do you just have a problem with police depts or are you basing your views on something more concrete?

Anybody really think Dorner was in Northridge...i think he's prob out of the state or country?

What Dorner should do is turn the tables on the offer and go out in the best light.

Offer to turn himself over to police under two conditions:

The LAPD gives $2 million (double the reward offered) to the charity(s) of his choice

AND

He is taken into custody unharmed and allowed to make a nationally televised statement at the time of arrest.

Of course, the LAPD would never agree to this for obvious reasons, but the attitude might change with a larger body count.
