Hard to disagree. I'd throw Santa Monica into the discussion too.

LOL Great thread. The poor OP was deluged with advice from scoundrels.

You know OP wanted to hear tales of drug-infested violent areas, stories of innocent passers-by, raped, tortured and eaten. OP wanted to be titillated by stories of mean minority gangs cutting white throats and instead he gets .... Beverly Hills LOL I love it

Weho and Hollywood, while my two favorite areas, have a serious transient problem lately. It's gotten much worse.

Opinions are like ...you know the saying...everyone has one.

Also a lot of people think of West Hollywood as a safe area because it's expensive and there are lot's of nice places and nightlife ,etc but did you know this ?...

West Hollywood is ranked higher than Van Nuys, Lancaster, Boyle Heights, NORTH Hollywood, Panorama City , Pacoima and others for Violent Crime...according to this list at least
Violent Crime Ranking - Mapping L.A. - Los Angeles Times

That's kind of funny huh?

Some more crime stats in West Hollywood

Why do people on these forums have to turn into frightened old haggy women?

West Hollywood is nowhere near the most dangerous place in LA County. It's nowhere near Compton or Inglewood bad.

Probably having more bars means it has more crime by nature than say North Hollywood, but that doesn't make it the ghetto.

Bel Air

It's just a bunch of mansions, at least in Skid Row I can get a burger and look at murals, and in Hollywood I can get a whole bunch of stuff.

Does Bel Air even have a commercial street?
