New Orleans is dope. Love New Orleans but it's not California.

Yes, once L.A. is in you it's mighty hard to get it out. It has so many great aspects. The only thing comparable to me is the S.F Bay area, where I am now. So much to do and dine, great sports, some fine people, and exquisite natural beauty. But it's big in your favor that you don't strongly dislike where you are now; that's a help isn't it?

yeah....I guess it's the mosquito's. It's crawfish season which I wouldn't be able to find in L.A. and the very cheap drinks and great bars. However, Echo de menos buena mexicano ( I probably said that incorrectly). And my bros off Crenshaw and King.

Ok..sometimes things are like that. Everybody probably misses everybody, quietly.

I can't imagine living in New Orleans over Los Angeles, but I've only spent a few days in New Orleans and I'm not much of a partier so my opinion on the city doesn't count for much.

I think most people could. As jamills said, there is a great variety of cities in this country. Plenty of interesting areas with an affordable COL to boot.

That's brilliant. I'll be stealing that.

I'm in the opposite boat. I never want to go back. I have to for work at least 6 times a year and I dread it every time. I've found life to be better outside of LA.

That being said, I do miss my friends. And I can understand why people miss "home". Just focus on the good times / fun you're having in your new home OP.
