I get that they pay money to the city . Pretty sure they want to use the alley because it looks rough as the city hasn't paved it since whenever . So all this film money and the roads are still rough and potholed .

Where I used to work we had a lot of film crews come in and they take over . Just don't want people on my property or to be bothered . They should at least have to have some approval from neighborhors before they inconvenience neighbors .
I know that might sound crazy to some .

Get a Trump blowup doll and position it on your property where it will be seen on their film.

Shake your fist in the air and yell "get off my lawn!" while they are filming.

Yeah right they shoot in Pasadena as well just not as often. But I work at Caltech and they have had two movie/show shoots in the last month. It was only a mild inconvenience but hey it was fun to watch.

Air horns are great way to tick off film crews.

It won't stop them but it will definitely annoy them if it ruins good takes.

Yeah, that helps. So it just takes them more time and you have your "annoyance" even longer.

How is that a solution?
Now, now there you go being logical again.

OP, someone suggested you ask if they might use your yard, and you will get paid.

I know someone whose home was used in a movie, they were paid for the use of their home, put up in a nice hotel for the duration, and if anything got damaged it was replaced.

Yes, yes we have .

When will Garcetti order that city departments support residents and tax payers. Would be nice for a change.

Clearly the film industry is favored in L.A and the city bends over backwards for them. Screw the residents !

Maybe I missed it somewhere in the thread but what does the flyer say for filming times? If they're in and out in a reasonable time frame, don't make noise in the night, what's the big deal?

I live in a large apartment complex that's inhabited by and used by industry folks on what seems a daily basis. We have a poster board specifically for filming notification flyers. I've always known these film crews to tread lightly and respect property/owners so I have no problem with it. I'm sure they're always just a few raging complaints away from a tarnished name and less work...so they're incentivized to be civil with you.
