I've spoken to multiple people and supervisors they always say they will do it but haven't .
If the city can't even get the right trash day after over 6 years of telling them it's wrong .
Makes you wonder .
It's a problem too because they use the trash day to arrange for illegal dumping pickups too so it screws things up.

We had a show filmed on our street. Everyone on the block was paid 200.00 for the inconvenience of having to park their cars out of sight for a couple of hours. They brought in cars from the 50's and 60's and parked them along the street.

People will be putting out their trash cans while filming going on .
Make sure the compost bins are filled up with the nastiest stuff that is allowed. Not sure what they allow these days in LA. If meat / trimmings is allowed, thaaaaaaaaaat's the ticket.

How did they offer you the money ? Beforehand ? Or on the day ? This would be having to park for like 12 hours . A lot longer .

We got a weeks notice, and were given the option not to participate ( they'd film around us).
The money offer came with the letter and we were paid the day before they shot. I left for work at 7:00 am and when I got home at 4:00pm... they were finished and gone.

You're complaining about filming that's going to take place in your neighborhood for ONE day...in Los Angeles, mind you. Pardon some of us who think it's not a big deal.

Why do you try and bring politics into every single thread you comment in here in the L.A. forum? Save them, including the gazillion Garcetti threads you've created, for the Politics forum.

Someone thinks that Garcetti has anything to do with the film locations within the city? Filming happens all the time and if the Mayor was involved he would not have any time to be the Mayor. Kind of like the Mayor being involved with the Trash service for the city. He does not handle that stuff.

Yeah I never said anything about Garcetti picking the locations and did not mention his name in the OP so not sure what that poster is talking about .

That's not true. I just posted save your angst when it is something like a car ending up on your lawn and almost into your house.

This is ONE DAY, they're not filming for 6 months.

It's a Friday, take the day off from work(if the OP works), and go to Santa Barbara or Ventura for the day, have a nice day and when you get home the film crew is gone, if having them film for ONE DAY is so trying for them.
