Garcetti is worthless a complete POS.

All this talk about climate change and living green.....................the freakin' city looks like a refuge camp now with so many freakin' tents littering the streets.

LAPD had to buy a boot sanitizer because they were getting Typhus due to fleas on Skidrow.

Your post is yet another perfect example of how rumors and misinformation are spread. No police have contracted typhus. Not from fleas on skid row or anywhere else.

Two LAPD detectives, neither of whom worked with homeless or around skid row, contracted Typhoid fever, a completely different disease from typhus, spread by completely different vectors (not fleas). It is unknown how they got Typhoid fever which shows up in a few people from time to time in the U.S. generally after said persons return from traveling overseas.

Furthermore, last year’s typhus outbreak is over and the most cases occurred in Communities not connected to homeless encampments (Pasadena and Long Beach) ... and the health departments issued press releases specifically stating the outbreaks were not caused by homelessness, but mostly because residents feed feral cats and then opossums and raccoons also join in the feedings and those animals, along with rats, carry the fleas which get into homes and businesses via domestic animals.

Sorry to ruin your ignorant rant.

So homeless are clean living people who never get sick or have diseases.

Even for you that is a remarkable fabrication out of what has never been stated, Vega. Kudos. You’ve actually outdone yourself. A new low.

I know this is gonna break some hearts, but SCOTUS refused to hear an appeal on the 9th circuit ruling which prohibits arresting people who sleep on the sidewalk, so that ruling is now the law of the land. So to all the people with 'creative solutions', abandon all hopes of homeless roundups and detention centers

Quote:
The justices on Monday did not comment as they left in place a ruling that struck down a Boise, Idaho ordinance. The ruling by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals applies across several Western states where cities are struggling with homelessness brought on by rising housing costs and income inequality. Many have similar restrictions that aim to keep homeless people from sleeping on their streets.

The appeals court held that Boise could not make it a crime for homeless people to sleep on the streets when no alternative shelter is available. The decision the justices refused to review found that the Boise ordinance violated the constitutional ban on “cruel and unusual punishment.”

Police can still arrest them if there is enough shelter space available.

Yes. So perhaps LA will now follow the lead of cities in other states that DO provide shelter beds in sufficient number.

Bravo! you are absolutely 100% correct, now name a California city with adequate shelter space.
