I've had three more Section 8 callers today alone. I feel bad for Palmdale's future.

Palmdale is pretty much a cr*p hole. I had to work up there at the FAA facility. This was around 14 yrs ago, wasn't impressed back then, I could only imagine it now.

The problem with Palmdale is no one who lives here wants to be here. They all came here for the cheap houses and found out they have to commute.

WAHWAHWAHWAHWAH!

I moved here because I like Palmdale, It isn't the hell hole the SFV is.

Why Are you guys making palmdale seem like a ghetto or something? There are still very nice areas around here. I was born and raised in palmdale and I'm never leaving. I just dont understand some of you that keep saying crap like "oh better lock your car doors if you visit. Seriously I bet you only been here like what? ONCE,and your just instantly judging it by these so called rumers of it being a total hellhole.I mean come on wtf? everyone always has somthing negative to say about a place. It would be just the same if you moved to Riverside or Glendale Torrance etc etc... and any other area. There is crime EVERYWHERE. But what many of you are making it seem to be is like palmdale is Just as worse as Compton or somthing. To those that actually live out here, how about you stop whining about the situation and learn to help your community. Palmdale is a nice area ,always has been. Sure there are many imperfections ,there are scumbags in every city.

Only if you're comparing Palmdale to Nickerson Gardens or Imperial Courts would Palmdale seem nice.

I think why people put down Palmdale is because of its physical location. Mainly, it's so far away from the beach. The weather is a bit unfriendly up there too. I was recently there for an interview and my gauge read 108 F. One time I passed the area on way to the Sierras and I recall the gauge reading 40 F, during late morning.

I don't think it's necessarily the crime per say, but most likely just the physical location and its proximity to the city of Los Angeles.

Used to visit the Quarts Hill area near there years ago. Also liked Lake Elizabeth.
