There's nothing wrong with LA County that six million fewer people wouldn't solve.

Thanks.
A famous economist once wrote, "Nothing is either good or bad save the alternatives make it look that way."

Thus, the "is it worth it" question can only be answered in terms of the available alternatives.

Not sure when a shed in Los Angeles costs $130,000 for the homeless. Apartment units built for the homeless cost the city $600,000 to $800,000 per unit. That is above average for the cost of a house nationwide, and equal to the median home value in LA county. A price unaffordable unless you make well into six figures. The city building units at these prices play a hand in making the city further unaffordable.

LA is laying off 950 cops, so expect the homeless to be laying around everywhere. LA county will shut things down even during a bad flu season. They saw how people just fell in line with their orders.

I don't know much about life in other areas, but life in the beach cities is pretty amazing.

Especially for the homeless who seem to be everywhere near the beach.

Are they actually separating 950 paycheck earning employees from the payroll? Or are they eliminating 950 positions (most of which are not filled)?

Source please?

I believe they are not going to layoff, they will just not hire for attrition. So in 3-5 years you will really start to see the effects caused by it.
