I’ve read that signs are quite positive for a rather large snow event by the middle of next week.

I just finished clearing 14 1/2 inches for several people with one more to go at 11 AM tomorrow. Layers are the key. I need to buy or make some wrist gaiters. I have gaiters for my boots, but My wrists get cold as I move the controls on my Kubota. Then snow blows in and I have to stop and dry off my wrists lest I get frostbite. I have a pair of military surplus mittens with long wrists, but I have not found them yet this season.

There's that word; "cyclogenesis". It gets the weather heads all excited because they might get to use their favorite word of all: "BOMBOGENESIS". It just warms the cockles of their pea pickin hearts.

And we get to shovel it.

Maybe up where you live, but nothing here down east until January 4. And that is 6 days away. There is no way to tell that far out. Too many variables.
