I heard the snow was rough this weekend down there. Good luck to you with the switch to rain, it's going to be TERRIBLE.

I've been fine with the snow so far up here. I woke up an extra hour early for work today to dig out, and ended up having a bunch of time to kill so I grabbed a coffee at that little purple coffee shop on the corner of Steven's Ave and Brighton (can't, for the life of me think of the name right now) and relaxed, took my time and arrived 1/2 hour early to work. It was a great day. Now, talk to me on Monday and it may be a different story.
Yes Irfox, I'm in Brewster. Down in back of the Herring Run. Do you know where Upper and Lower Mill Ponds are? I'm way out there in the boonies.

I'm not looking forward to the slop that's coming tomorrow after the snow turns to rain... we'll have about a foot by the time the switch happens. MESSY!!!

My friends in Hyannis had a big tree come down in their front yard last night. They never heard it drop. Thankfully, he had parked his truck behind her car in 'her' driveway, instead of where he normally does. His thinking was it would make the shoveling easier. Instead, he saved his truck from being totalled. Phew! haha

Kamorra... I'm envious you're up in Belfast for the storm tomorrow! It's going to be gloriously beautiful as it happens and after. I can see it in my minds eye.... the blue of the water and all that snow blanketing the shoreline.... STUNNING!!! PLEASE take pics for us who aren't there right now. Purty please with snow on top? lol

Coastal, I know exactly where you are in brewster, it's a nice area even if it IS a bit more secluded. When I was younger we used to spend a lot of time at the brewster general store and I even went to puppet shows at the church right next door. Good memories.

Crazy story about the friends in Hyannis what a stroke of luck! I guess it was pretty bad down there. We still have a good amount of snow here, i'm surprised there was no parking ban as parking on the street is pretty tough now. Maybe they'll clear it after Sunday's storm.

Good luck with your slush!

They're predicting a good 24 hour storm here tomorrow. 10-16 inches before it wraps up on Monday.

Ahhh, but the great thing about Greenville is you can do your last minute shopping at any point during a storm or power outage.

Life is great up here at the big lake!
