It's a great question! As someone looking to move there from NC, I'd love to hear more

Thanks for the ice tea info! Sweet tea is always in the fridge

One thing I expect to miss when we move to Maine is Mexican food.....Mexican and some Asian. Living in Houston is like living in the middle of an ethnic oasis. You can find authentic cuisine on every other corner.

BUT, and it's a big one, since seafood is my favorite by far, I think I'll be ok!

I can say that I'm learning more and more that the northern culture is TOTALLY different than Southern culture. And northEAST is different than northWEST. I guess I never really knew the extent of it, but it's odd to learn that even things that are standard in grocery stores down here won't be found on the shelves in Maine. You'd think food is food, but not so! I'm anxious to start browsing and learning to cook new and different things. The produce department should be quite an experience for me.

Hmmm, I must be hungry! There are many more differences. Maybe someone with a broader prospective (and a fuller belly) can give more input! ;-)
