I sure do love you guys. The whole keeping up with the Joneses mentality is a big reason we want out. This group solidifies my reasons to move more and more each day.

Thanks to all of you for just being yourselves!

Your welcome I guess.

What if I want to be somebody else for a change?

Would being a Mainer then not allow me to be somebody else?

I think there are definitely some "someones" or some traits you wouldn't have if you're a real Mainer... I like to think so anyway

Mainers can be depressed economically. We can very well be lacking the 'growth' and bustling that has become the sign of a healthy economy.

But from my travels, I have seen a different side to all of that 'growth' and bustling and 'health'. High prices, high wages, high taxes, high crime, and stress.

As it all begins to collapse; each state is spending itself into bankrupcy.

And it would appear that the Fed has decided to spend itself into something far worse than bankrupcy. What else can there be worse than national bankrupcy? I dont know what else to call it. It all seems 'stupid' to me.

I will just cut some firewood, herd my goats / sheep, pick fiddleheads, and offer our extra to help others; and maybe someone else can figure out how to get rid of the stupidity.
OK just to go of topic for a moment (which I am good at doing, right 7th Gen) what are fiddleheads used for?

A little steam, a little butter or vinager. Like grampa used to say on Hee Haw, "YUMM YUMM!" good eating when your poor. Almost as good as beet greens.
