I don't care too much for the "red snappers." I think it's because I grew up in Southern New England (S.E. Mass and RI) where Red Hot Dogs are next to non-existent. I didn't have one until I went to school at Farmington.
I REALLY like Coney Island Hot Dogs (it's not a Coney unless it has the official Coney Island Meat Sauce) and New York System Weiners (really only found in Rhode Island). They are VERY similar and both have a meat sauce on them (the NY System dogs have mustard and celery salt on them as well) and they are equally delicious. I can get Coney Island in Boston, but never New York System. I Love them more than any other type of sausage with the exception of Portuguese Chourico.
