my poor husband will just shovel and we are just staying in, hanging out w the kids till the snow is done. My 3 yo will help dad "shovel" with his little shovel. we have hot cocoa on hand.

I would love to know how much it would cost to have a plow do our driveway.

Depends on the length and whether you have a plow contract or not. If you sign a contract the price is cheaper, but you agree to pay them to plow every snowstorm during the season over 2 or 3". If you're on a contract I've seen pricing between $40-50 for the first 6" and then $25-30 for every 3" increment above that, but that's only based on what one of my friends and I pay.

The low temps are keeping the snow light and fluffy. Southeastern MA is currently warmer but the heavy snow bands have not arrived yet. Hopefully the colder air will get here first and keep the snow light. The concern is it may be wetter and heavier thus causing power outages during the overnight hours.

It's getting treacherous out there. We just returned from a "let's see how bad it is" drive. Everything is closed save the 7-11. Hardly any cars out. Fog + wind making the snow fly sideways...yeah, we crawled back home.

Can't beat a cup of tea, the laptop, a cheesy sci-fi movie, and cuddly dogs on a night like this

As for snow removal, we park the Jeep as close to the head of the driveway without blocking the sidewalk. Less snow to shovel

From my window view, it looks like Acton/Concord is already 8" deep in snow, and it is steadily falling.
