That's a shame. It's a really nice house and more my style.

Different location and that would sell fast

I wrote another post but deleted it I looked back at the map. That house is practically in Fitchburg, that's the knock there.

I just saw one posted on Springfield of nearly 4x what they paid four years ago. People are going to get burned that's for sure.

Maybe we could have a discussion on what gives greater ROI in housing.

The greatest negative impact of flippers is making it impossible to find a good contractor, plumber, electrician at a reasonable price...

Or finding one to call you back of give you a quote assuming you can get them to even show up.

While technically true, the correct answer is "a good school system".

I've always wondered how some contractors can run a successful business by totally ignoring customers. It must feel good to have so much money thrown to you that you are too busy to pick it up...

Is the best strategy for contractor calllbacks to wait for winter or a recession?

House flippers are like any business, when it's a small one doing the lifting and they're local, I can't see it being a massive problem.

There's supposedly more corporate money in single family homes than any time before, and when you compound that with absentee landlords that already have problem properties... there should be limits. Using houses for housing isn't a radical idea. I'd wonder how many homes the biggest players have, and how much property is owned by foreign interests as a way to park their money.
