Moderator cut: personal/off topic

I personally feel that the real issue in Miami especially is an issue of class and not race , but again that is my feeling on the matter .

You will find out some people that post here and tell it like it is, are of hispanic decent themselves.

It is easy to say the hispanics are the issue for some on here because the hispanics make up the majority. If you go to Jacksonville or Atlanta, the blacks probably complain about the whites there, because whites are the majority. So, any place you go the minority (which are white/black in Miami) will have something bad to say about the majority. Don't get me wrong the hispanics in Miami are not perfect (but they are not the main issues on this forum), I think there is a lack of assimilation by many of the new hispanic immigrants.

Excellent good point ..... I am total agreement with you . By the way we moved here from Atlanta nine months ago and blacks are the majority . Whites are the majority in the Northern suburbs .... Alpharetta , John's Creek , Cummings , etc , etc . Atlanta has it's own set of issues , trust me we lived there for seven years .

Hi Davis

I couldn't help but to chuckle at your post. I am a native Cuban, although raised in NJ since age 8 and I too agree with your statements about Miami. I do believe that regardless of race, culture etc... there is some people who are not the typical Miami @#$% By the way, what part of Miami did you and your family move to??? I live in the Kendall area

the thing i fear is that as the realestate market drops and the country heads towards recession people are going to get more desperate and this "new" complex will become one requiring bars on the windows.

we have a security guard who watches the gate but we have no one patrolling the complex now. this was done in plain sight right by the entrance and no one did anything.

i think im going to buy a gun, for my own safety. i think you can get a relatively decent one for under $200 but i need to find out.
my gf contacted the us post office via the website and told them to hold the mail delivery. this is ridiculous.

I was going to say you need to call the cops and report this and call the post office which you guys already did. I was also thinking the same thing, but I think people have started to become deperate already.
