I can see why a company would want her on the board of directors. She is extremely bright and well-educated.

Unfortunately, I think most of her knowledge is focused in areas other than economics and business. But that doesn't mean that she won't provide a valuable perspective to the board of directors. Her slightly anti-business, pro-central planning viewpoint might prove valuable to a company like that. It's always good to know what the other side is thinking, because it can affect your operation.

Granholm was responsible for America's highest unemployment rate while governor. Also, she kept dreaming up new ways to tax working people - movie popcorn, for example. I would not want her running my company.
