Has anyone else here listened to the new KTWN radio station? It's quickly grown on me. It is much better than 96.3 NOW, and Tone E Fly & Eric Perkins go well together in the morning show.

I like the music too. Seems like they are leaning towards more alternative without stepping on The Current's toes and has better selection than KS95.

So far, so good.

I might have to check it out. Aside from The Current, MN has a dearth of decent indie / alternative stations.

B96 sucked.
Popular 'hip-hop' is dead. It's not what it was from the mid 1990's to mid 2000's. People aren't too fond of that type of music. B96's quality was poor. It was noticiably quieter than 101.3 or 102.1. Plus, 20 miles out of DT Mpls and I couldn't even get reception.

That said, it's still a little nostalgic for me. I liked B96 growing up. But it began to suck as the demographic and product had changed. So the station had to change, and it did. I like it. It's kind of like putting my iPod on shuffle. You'll literally get a mix of everything and I like that... It's not the same 15 songs over, and over, and over and over and over and over.

I liked B96 too. 96.3 NOW was terrible.

KTWIN also completely reminds me of putting my iPod on shuffle and listening to what it comes up with. Lots of old favorites I forgot about it, lots of random songs I enjoy, etc.
