Unless you want to see the same stuff that Chicago is regionally famous for (urban scene), I'd recommend finding what the locals do: like ice skating outside on Lake of the Isles or Rice Park in downtown St. Paul, The Holidazzle Parade in downtown Minneapolis, or even go to the Mall of America. Otherwise you may just be doing what you could otherwise do in Chicago, or [insert large city here].
