looking forward to a severe (record-breaking) winter this year, lot's of snow and sub-zero temps is a great way to seperate the strong from the weak, good for the winter-sports and auto body-work businesses too. bring it on Old Man let's see what you got.

It's funny how every state supposedly has the worst drivers and it's always everyone else's driving that's the problem! LOL

Personally, I'm enjoying the 14" I got in my neighborhood. I know winter brings difficulties for some and I hate that. It's a scary time for the elderly and burdensome for the handicapped. As for everyone else, I say grin and bear it. It's an inevitable and unavoidable reality in Minnesota. Being happy is a choice... so is being miserable.

There are solutions for everything. It's a matter of finding and/or making them.

Yeah. I can't figure you bike people out. In deep snow, icy roads and cold temps? I guess everyone has their own definition of "fun" but, at least, aren't you worried about cars on the ice? I clench every time I see a winter cyclist and say a prayer for their safety.

But dude! Those body shops were dirt poor last year! They need some violent fender-benders; it's good for the economy!

(as some Minnesota armchair economist told me)

I biked until last Friday. I don't mind the cold, but I won't do snow or ice. Four wheels are barely good enough in this horrendous weather. But I saw plenty of cyclists today and they were all upright

I once considered trying these:
