I got that call from the first (407) number yesterday. Just waking from my sleep (I work nights), I ignored it and they immediately called my backup number (my wife's cell). My wife said "It's Toyota!!" so I talked to them. She is going to give you another number to call if you are still interested. That number will be for Employment Plus.

I called E+ and they wanted to schedule me to come in and fill out "their" application (I guess since they are not Select Int'l), take a little computer test, and give them proof of education and 2 forms of government I.D. for "I-9" forms. Basically they are doing Toyota's hiring right now. They are a temp agency but they are not hiring temp jobs - I asked and the jobs they are hiring for are permanent.

I also asked, "After this are there going to be more drug tests, interviews, things of that nature?" She said there would be another drug test and a physical. Nothing about another interview process. I think they are calling the people who are "in the pool."

The going theory is - I don't know how credible this is - that they are training the backups to replace the people that quit or are terminated.

In summary, I'm not sure who calls from that first number (Toyota, Select, or Employment+), but they are "on behalf of Toyota" as you said and they give you the number to Tupelo Employment Plus. You call and they ask you to make an appointment to come in and fill out the app and take the little computer assessment. I scheduled mine for Monday the 16th at 1PM. Oh and the first time I called she took my number and said she'd call back. She called back within 1-2 hours.

I don't know the second number you mentioned. It's not the Employment Plus number I dealt with numerous times, but it's similar so perhaps it is the same place. Perhaps it's a fax or another line? Idonno.

Good luck!

In response to your situation, I would recommend you to call the number back that she left on your voicemail. She called me around 11 am, so they are most likely at the office during that time, if no other time. I would assume they work standard office hours.

*Edit*
And looking back, that second number you mentioned was actually *not* close to the number I dealt with. My memory failed me. I looked it up on the phone and there's a different prefix and everything.

With employment plus the pay rate is 13.25 and you get a extra .65 when you rotate. You get benefits, raises, and they working on bonuses. Shoes and uniforms are provided at no cost to you. Toyota can pick you up as a employee any time they please.

I tried calling the lady back today and still no answer so i just called employment plus and she looked to see if i was on the list toyota sent them and i was on there so i go wed at 1pm. Im guessing toyota sent them a list of applicants that are in the pool.

They moved up my appointment. I'm going to fill out paperwork for E+ in the morning at 8AM. They wanted "to get me started earlier." This sounds good to me!

Can anybody tell me what the health insurance provider is for Toyota? I can't find anything on it and I really need to know what the coverage is before signing a job offer. My physical/functional is Tuesday!

Which reminds me... do you REALLY have to obtain ALL of your medical records for the past five years? Seriously? Because I just found out today that I will need them and my doctor's office is closed on Saturday. I get the feeling it's not going to be easy getting all records on Monday... especially since there are specialists I see and a couple of non-work-related hospital visits I've had.

Ok thanks. That is what I remembered reading BUT when I was at employment plus I asked what insurance was offered by toyota (not e+) and she said she didn't remember but thought it was Transchoice. That's why I asked - I just figured I would find out from a current employee. Thanks again

You guys need to make sure you check your emails often because that was pretty much the only way Toyota communicated with us until my husband recived his final job offer. And the wait times you guys are experiencing seem to be much shorter than last year because my husband went through the hiring process in the summer and fall of 2010 and did not start work unfilled Nov of 2011. Hang in there and the benifits are excellent!
