^^^You mean a photo from Branson?

Our family spent a week in Branson in 2009 and stayed at the Hilton at Branson Landing, the one across the street from the Hilton in the photo above (^^that Hilton has the convention center with it, while ours was on the Landing itself). I was comparing photos earlier this morning, and it looks quite different than it did 2.5 years ago! My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by last night's storms!

Sorry you are correct - its the Hilton in Branson. Had a sometimer's moment. I was thinking about the St Johns Hospital (now Mercy) after the Joplin tornado when I saw this.

We dodged a bullet with these storms, although there are at least two families that would disagree, having lost a loved one. Bennett Springs Campground was nearly empty - if it wasn't a Leap Year it would have been packed last night with trout fishermen waiting for the morning season opener. Branson - Kimberling City - just a few more weeks and there would have been a lot more tourists. KY3 had a news story yesterday at 6 pm on why Branson business were hiring much earlier than normal this year thanks to the warm winter.

And I haven't seen it mentioned by the Tracker Marine plant in Lebanon - got hit for a second time that I can remember.

Hope all the forum members fared well.

My Son and his Family live in Trailer on top a hill over by Bennett Spring. They went down in the holler.Tornado missed them but hit just up the highway from them.

Since we moved down here we have seen far more and worse Tornadoes than we ever did in 20 years around Boonville area.

Found an interesting show online called 2011- The Year The Earth Went Wild. I believe it is a BBC presentation. Well worth watching.

2011 ~ The Year The Earth Went Wild - YouTube

47 minutes long. Filmed in high def. Unbelievable the power of nature.

US spring tornado outbreak starts at 22:30 and Joplin at 25:15.

Also, those of you who subscribe to DirecTV - here is a little something extra you may not know you have access to. Push Menu - then Extras - then YouTube. Type in madamepoppova and search. You will find this show on page 2 of listings and you can watch it on your tv.

Stay safe, turn off your computer now and again, and go live life. Make it a goal to do at least one thing on your bucket list in 2012! Or two.. or three.
