Default WVU Fans voted rudest in the Big East

Hey, what an honor! I always thought Philly had the rudest fans (historically).

The survey was probably taken at MacReedo's Pub in Huntington. West Virginia's fans are like those of any other program... some are polite, some are not.

Default Mountaineers Sell Record Number of Basketball Season Tickets

With more than 8,500 season tickets sold to date, and 2,000 seats
reserved for students, it looks like a banner year for the basketball
program. That is especially significant with a down economy
considering a season ticket for Mountaineer basketball costs $377
at a minimum.

They are now offering mini-packages, each featuring games against
highly ranked opponents. I think they will soon sell out altogether.
And, with the recruits Huggy is landing, it only looks to get better.
Morgantown will be rocking on basketball nights this year.

Way to continue to show your bias against Huntington / Marshall CT.

BTW, Marshall was voted to have the most polite fans in C-USA. Here are the links to the actual poll for those who are interested.

From what I understand, what really happened is that there was a Marshall website that encouraged people to stuff the ballot boxes and vote for Marshall...and while they were there, they were naturally acclimated to vote against WVU. Heh. I think its funny.

My point was (and it was obviously tongue in cheek) there would obviously be bias against West Virginia in Huntington. It had nothing to do with Huntington per se. But I appreciate that you are quick to jump in there with a defense, even if none is really needed. You could take a poll in most of the State at a pub and likely find some bias against Marshall, so if you want to use that analogy that would be okay too as far as I'm concerned.

Biased against Marshall? I agree that Marshall fans are very nice. It's their athletic teams that suck. That's why nobody goes to their games. If you want to see some really nice fans, go to a Herd football game. See, I'm complimentary of Herd fans, not critical. In fact, last time I went to a Herd game I didn't have a ticket so I asked the first passerby if he had any to sell. He reached in his pocket and handed me two of them. I told him I only needed one, and he said that's okay, maybe I could find someone who would like to use the other one. He wouldn't take any money for them either (I offered him $5), so he was really nice.

To be fair, I spent the $5 I would have given him at MacReedo's Pub, my favorite Huntington watering place.

Let's Gooo! Mountaineers!

I'm also a season ticket holder for Marshall basketball. They are off to a good start. But attendance has still been down. If they keep winning, i look for the Herd to start jamming the Cam!

Marshall really really really really needs to work on their defense. I can't stress that enough. At the last game versus Central Tennessee I was literally screaming on defense. It's as if they don't care about rebounds, boxing out, etc. Hell these guys are 7 feet tall its not like they can't jump for the ball. Ugh... we won, but still it was very frustrating.
