Working my way through the wiki list of Aussie metal and I came across these guys! I'll put money on them having been on JJJ's Hour of Power at some point! They sound familiar!
i like her MMC, watched one of her vids-"i dont want to hurt no more"-not metal but it doesnt matter, sometimes it's nice to take a break. thanks for the eye-opener-i enjoyed it
dont think this is metal, but it is a metal cover and these two deserve mucho props. They are the most freakin' badass, fastest acoustic players i have ever seen. So much passion in there music-if you dont own this or there other live album from Tokyo you need to go buy at least one of them today!
Paramore - Let The Flames Begin ... Drowning Pool - Bodies ... Saliva - Click Click Boom ... ISIS - Hall of the Dead

LOL.....Dude that's great as i needed some laughter about now as it can get depressing to hear the same ol' ,,,,, day in and day out news about the economy etc. as again i appreciate you looking out for my back bro and the video tributes were great especially ''Paramore'' as i need to see more video's of them !!!
Speaking of female metal rocker's i found you guys a good one here as these young 20 something's ALL female band just came out with a new album earlier this year and yet they sound very simular to my ''bad to the bone'' 80's Glam Metal sound so check them out if ya get a chance .
Again thanks for the GREAT metal thread that you started MMC !!!
6/3
Tombs was first and they were better than I expected. They have a great live sound - tight and precise amidst the chaos and perceived sloppiness of their music. They will be pegged as "alt-metal" or "post-metal" but I think that they are a pure metal band.
There's some Black Metal in there and quite a bit of Doom Metal -- really classic sounds but from a newer perspective. The songs are kind of short and rockin (like I like it) which is delightful considering how much noodling could potentially go on in their songs.
They definitely get a little bit "crescendo-core" here and there but it never goes on for, like, ten minutes. Highly recommended.
Man... I realllly appreciate your assessment...
:: listens with full attention :: ... believe me
we all do cause so many of us just can't go
out and hear what we love first hand...

Soon enough they will simply sound like Mogwai or Explosions In The Sky. I respect them a lot as musicians- they know their craft well so I am happy about their success and I'm sure it will grow; they deserve it. But it's not what I am looking for at a metal show.
Hmmmm... I wonder what is influencing them at
the moment... or who... :: ponders :: ... guess its
something to watch...

You can never go wrong with Rage, and this has always been one of my most favorite Rage songs. And, this was the song that was playing at the very end of the Matrix Part 1, when Neo flew off into the sky. Pretty cool.
"Fist in the air in the land of hypocrisy"
I think David Draimen is one bad *** singer, and this song from the Queen of the Damned soundtrack certainly illustrates his ability to song spooky as hell. I think it's a pretty good soundtrack anyway, since Jonathan Davis and David Draimen sang most of the songs.
I don't think I have seen this song yet, and it definately deserves it's spot on the metal thread. I mean, forget Phil Anselmo, we are talking Dimebag. Great song, so sit back and enjoy.
Regardless of the video, the song is by Fear Factory and it is entitled "Bite the Hand that Bleeds you" Very deep song if you really listen and connect the dots. A little hint: Fear Factory has always been very big on freedom and against government oppression. OK, that's all I will say about that.

"One more drop of blood I spill, One more drop you take,
One more drop and I will smite, and bite the hand that bleeds"
Can't remember if I posted this already, but I don't think I did. Anyway, cool song from a crazy band. Check out the guitarist's face during the video. Dude looks seriously crazy!
