AND last night they were on 60 Minutes AND
Angus said (exactly what I've been saying for
a very long time) that if they'd not got started

SOOOO without further ado.......

If not for Acca Dacca I'd never have got into
metal in the first place!
Feel free to sing the "other" lyrics!
"It's a long way to the shop if you wanna

CHEERS! for Acca Dacca! ... :: High Fives MoonShadow! :: ^5!

It's always very cool to know what groups were key
in other people's growth toward Metal... kinda shows
us what maybe can be used to "convert" others LOL

Thanks

At the time it specialized in undefinable heavy

probably be called hardcore. The music started
being called "metalcore" because a lot of bands
really did merge the 2 styles (this was long before
the eyeliner-wearing/Hot Topic bands who are
known as metalcore today).

Anyway, the label has remained very interesting
and, really, it is partially responsible for keeping
me interested in metal.

Here is Botch from sometime in the late 90s

The label has also released music by the Japanese experimental metal band, Boris, who plays with
a bunch of different metal styles. Here is one of
their more tame songs...

And, if you like music that makes you want to kill
yourself, there's Xasthur who is a one-man
American Black Metal band. His vocals are
considered pretty great in Black Metal circles,
here he is doing a live performance with another
band...

Wow B.Frank... Thanks!!! .. some info I didn't
even realize concerning ISIS... and your comments
about Metalcore is much appreciated!!

being expose to something new or learning something
new... I guess the lurkers agree LOL ... its almost like
( the thread ) some very weird magazine... slowly
word of it being spread thru the underground...

( being imaginative! hehehe )
Again B.Frank... Thanks!!!

Default Just a little something to wet your palate.

Hello all, it's just me again. Came across some Slayer I had forgotten about. This, to me, is one awesome song. Have never been a huge fan of Slayer, but I know a good song when I hear one, again

YouTube - Slayer "Seasons In The Abyss"

Please, please, you gotta listen to this one. Kilgore Smudge, formerly just Kilgore, is really a pretty awesome band. The dude's voice is great, really goes with the music. And the band is pretty good as well. If you never tried them before, now is the time.

YouTube - Kilgore Smudge Hang Time Video

That's all for now! Back later with more "golden oldies"
