Default When Thrash became Death

There was a time in the late 80s/early 90s when some metal bands were being called "death metal" but they were a lot more tame than the cookie-monster growling types. I thought of them as more brutal versions of classic 80s Thrash (and I liked it a lot better than real death metal, too).

A good example is Entombed

Unfortunately there's no Black Sabbath's "Back Street Kids" on youtube so I have to post here a pretty bad cover. It's the only version of "Back Street Kids" I've found on youtube. The original song by Black Sabbath itself is brilliant.
