... this isn't Metal but is too violent for the other
threads and I just need to express myself before
going to more civilized sections of the forum... chuckle...
Hello all, it's just me again. Came across some Slayer I had forgotten about. This, to me, is one awesome song. Have never been a huge fan of Slayer, but I know a good song when I hear one, again
Please, please, you gotta listen to this one. Kilgore Smudge, formerly just Kilgore, is really a pretty awesome band. The dude's voice is great, really goes with the music. And the band is pretty good as well. If you never tried them before, now is the time.
Such an optimistic band name for a band who makes such deeply disturbing music.
Note to our host, MMC: Y'know I'm never too far from my metal but this thread has caused me to actually think about it a lot more than I normally do. I usually listen to it casually, not when I am angry or energetic, in fact, I really only listen to metal when I am in a happy mood. But there is still always a cathartic element for me. This band, despite how abrasive, angry and evil(?) it is, always makes me think:
Yes. Today is the day that I begin to triumph.

This thread IS really thought-provoking... the lyrics
are examined... the emotions people feeling in the
moment... the information at times provided along
with the song... its deep really...

There IS something cleansing about yelling your
lungs out til they feel like their bleeding... to feel
with all the passion in your soul....to surrender
to the rhythm...
