My boyfriend is starting at NADC in May and we want to find a place in TN by April. I have family in Clarksville and want to move between there and Nasville. Where are the good places to raise children aound that area tho? I can't seem to find anywhere that people aren't complaining about crime. We wanted to find a place in Chapmansboro but aren't having any luck. Was hoping someone local could help me out and let me know where a good city/town is to move my family. Thx

Ematic1, don't let people turn you off of Clarksville or the surrounding area. EVERY town has crime - and certain areas are rough in EVERY town.

If you are looking between here and Nashville it really depends on what you are looking for (apartment/home/condo) as well as the distance to certain locations, schools, special needs, etc. Pleasant View and Cedar Hill are among some of the areas between the two cities.

deff. a house, my daughter is only 1 so we really dnt have to wry abt schools at this point and hopefully not even daycares. we would like a place that is a little bit of country thrown into the middle of cities if that makes any since. can't afford too much tho but im not someone who 'settles' im very picky esp. if i plan to live there for awhile. its scary enough moving so far.

ematic1 in addition to Pleasant View you might also want to look at Whites Creek,TN 37189 and Joelton,TN 37080 near Nashville.

Ashland City might also be a good option. It's a little further off the interstate, but definitely has a small town feel with lots of land available. Same goes for Coopertown. I also echo the advice for Whites Creek and Joelton.

We have looked a little in Ashland City but have only found a couple places in our price range. While I would like a large house with hopefully 3 bedrooms we really dnt have the need for somewhere on like 4 or 5 acres or anything like that, and problably couldnt afford it anyway. Also to add to my question, so far we have basically been only looking on craigslist is there any other websites that we could look at?
