I saw a lot of extras in business suits walking by. A young Asian woman in a blue dress opened the door for whoever this guy was. It was interesting. The whole scene took maybe 30 seconds to shoot. But they must have done 40 takes. No joke. 40. Very tedious.

Believe me, it's a lot of hurry up and wait. And do it again. And again. And again.

All for a scene that might end up on the cutting room floor.

Probably so much easier to edit now that it makes sense once you set up the shot . . that must have been one VERY pivotal scene!

Just read that an actress named Laura Benanti is joining the cast for an arc. Known more for her theater work, she appeared in the live "Sound of Music" last year with Carrie Underwood. I wonder if this has anything to do with Hayden's pregnancy? Maybe they will send her out on tour or . . . . ???

Nashville is on tonight, Wednesday, August 6th - a repeat of the concert episode called "On the Record".

Also, both "Deacon" and "Will" will sing LIVE on the season 3 premiere - for both coasts!

Just read that Derek Hough (dance pro from Dancing with the Stars) will also have a story arc on "Nashville" this season as . . . .

“Noah West, a beguiling and disarming movie star who will cross paths with the players of Nashville’s music realm for the first time when he’s tapped for a leading role in the biopic of a famous country singer.”

Wonder if he'll do any dancin'? Wonder if Scarlett can dance?

Did anyone watch the premiere last night?

Random thoughts:

I thought the road trip sequence was funny. It seemed kind of realistic.

I also can't believe how Avery's character has changed.

Scarlett looks to have lost weight.

I was glad to have a break from the political intrigue.

The Deacon/Rayna flashback scenes were cool. Weird how they can make them look younger.

It got me excited to watch, though. I hope they branch out to even more local places this season.
