Do you really think that he/she is likely to be monitoring this thread for comments?

Why do people revive old threads like this?

Because this thread isn't locked/closed. Because its a very important topic, and i'm in a similar situation.

That is not reasonable. It is up to you to create your own safe environment by selecting your residence more carefully. Again, your health concerns are legitimate, but they are yours. Keep your kitchen window closed for starters. Get an indoor air purification system. Or just move.

Can a condo owner just drop everything and move like its a spot on an empty beach? Its a hassle to change address, legal documents, transfer/cancel open new utility accounts, notify doctors, schools, bank, post office, etc. You suggest the person should move to a trailer park and the smoking addict should enjoy his life??? That's ludicrous! Why move???!!! One who doesn't cause disturbance should stand one's ground and fight this crap. If the smoker moved in after the non-smoker, the smoker is the one who should GTFO. The only thing one should do is plan ahead and be aware of the surroundings. That's why i don't buy condos(air). If this person moved in while the air wasn't polluted and no smokers were around, his rights should supersede any stupid state/township/condo laws. There's only one law that applies in this case - the common sense law! Oh, and try to get rid of that condo dump with the smoker(s) and polluted air. Its going to be very difficult. The value is probably down because of the smoke.
