It's right there in your post, that's where all the smart people live.
Yet you don't.

Anyway, like every other state it depends on what part of the state you're talking about, e.g. Mendham, Ramsey, Chatham, NJ - presumably lots of smart (educated) people. Newark, Patterson, Irvington, NJ- not too many smart (educated) people.

Same goes with so-called safe areas.

How? They move there for a job, put the guns in the attic, and figure it out from there. It's not a mystery.

You're right, I can't afford to retire in one of the smart states . That's what landed us in NC. However the weather is a little better and just knowing that so many people are carrying here makes everybody feel so much safer.

Yeah, but when I lived in your area, about 25% of the people in the neighborhood were in the military, and there were quite a few hunters. They weren't the sort who would accidentally shoot themselves. The military guys knew where they'd be going if they decided to act up with a firearm.

Speaking of the military, about a year and a half ago, I was talking to a guy in the Army who lived in Pemberton. The place is a hell hole. When I asked why he lived there, (other than the fact that it's close to Dix) he told me that the three building complex was occupied by military and DoD employees. The bad boys don't mess with their cars or break into their apartments.

So how do gun owners move to NJ (if they have to)?
i am familiar with some cases of non-nj residents getting caught transporting guns in nj. it seems like they got off the hook but it wasnt so easy. their struggle may have made it easier for others though. in any case, they actually were pulled over for some traffic offense and actually told the officer they had a gun in the car. im not sure what possessed them to tale the agents of tyrannical government that they are breaking the law.

Here is something you probably don't know even if you think you do.

A NC drivers license # when computer checked by the police will indicate that you have a concealed carry permit. It is not your permit, it just tells the police that you are a possible dangerous person and a NJ cop will probably search your car because he has probable cause. You will get hassled if you are from NC.

NJ residents are lucky because a NJ tag tells the police unless you are driving while black, that you are probably not a threat.

In any case it is just plain stupid to carry a gun in NJ without a NJ carry permit.

you are saying that a concealed carry permit in nc is probable cause for a cop to search your car in nj? i would need to verify that because it doesnt seem true.

You seem to be on friendly terms with the cops just ask them.

BTW the law clearly states I cannot come into NJ with my guns even if they are securely locked in the trunk. If I am passing through to a state where I can use my gun, then I am good to go but I cannot stay overnight in NJ. This is what happened to a guy who got stuck in Newark airport with his gun legally in his luggage. He had to overnight in NJ and took his luggage with him and then he was breaking NJ law. He spent time in Jail or maybe still is?

I don't have a problem with that because I know NJ is tough on guns.

Maybe if Trump gets elected he will buy guns for everybody in NJ when he changes NJ gun laws.

im not sure why you typed all of that but ignored my question. you seem to think that being a cc permit in nc gives nj cops probably cause to search your car. i dont think so. you figured making a nonsensical comment about me asking the cops would let you off the hook with making something up?

So obviously you have not read the stories of NJ cop hassling people with out of state carry permits?

Do I have personal experience? No, I just hope I never get stopped in NJ for a traffic offense.

Do they have legal cause? I don't know but when did that ever stop a cop from hassling anybody?

How about brushing up on your punctuation and capitalization, I'm thinking you must have graduated HS.
