If you have a BMW you can probably explain to the judge that "hey its a BMW". BMW's get a bad rep for not using them but there is a very valid reason. Basically they took the turn signal and over-engineered it to the point of being inoperable and that's why I personally quit using mine. I've heard though they updated it to be a normal turn signal in 2020.

The thought People have trouble using a slightly more sophisticated turn signal has me concerned about sharing the road with them. JUST familiarize with it's operation and move on.
