To those who question me, look up Tanzania doctor.
I look at it in a non-partisan way.
There are false negatives, too.

Yes, the test is faulty IMO.
The Tanzania doctor tested two animals and a papaya - all came back positive for the D-L (my name for it) "virus"

Actually he does. He's been ruling by decree based on a 30-day emergency that he extends every 30 days.

I still like him and the boat in the middle of the Navesink River idea.

Is that right? I'll look that up. Thanks.

It's a good idea, but I'd prefer to leave out the boat.

LOL!

I wouldn't do that though, as I'm PRO-Life.

The fact you haven't caught it (yet) is no more "proof" that it is safe than someone who drives drunk and doesn't crash somehow "proves" it should be legal to do so. Something can be unsafe even if not every single person gets sick or hurt, I can give other examples if I must (riding motorcycle with no helmet, getting high on meth, etc.) You can do it 100 times and come out without a scratch, and the 101st time could still land you in the ER. Unlikely? Maybe. But one must be careful to look at numbers and not leap to conclusions simply because you took risks and haven't been hit (yet).

As to small business owners, ideally the government should pay their expenses until the virus is contained, but barring that, there should be some sort of temp jobs program for them. Letting another 100k, 200k, 500k Americans die to "save the economy" is not a morally acceptable answer, especially when billionaires are hiding profits in offshore tax loopholes. You're basically saying that their tax loopholes are more important than preventing mass loss of life. A lot of business could be compensated for extended closures with the money that would be raised by closing these loopholes.

I get that this is frustrating, and I fully admit that some loosening of restrictions (from total lockdown) is necessary for mental health and the like, but this doesn't mean that the very high-risk activities should be allowed (e.g. indoor dining, bars, casinos).

If it is so unsafe to dine indoors, then how come you can do it in so many other states right now? And I certainly realize that it has to be at limited capacity with precautions taken. But, something has to give in this situation already. Because Murphy definitely seems to be overstepping his authority at this point, at least as far as I'm concerned. And I only hope I live long enough to see his opponent beat him in a landslide come November 2021.

I predict that once the weather gets cold enough that outdoor dining is no longer desirable, he will give the green light on indoor dining, at reduced capacity. The pressure will be too much.
