OK, time to play devil's advocate-it is his property right? Maybe he cut them down for heating fuel? I've got 8 trees on my rear property line and I'm planning on taking 5 of them down to stack and season so that I can start burning them winter 2010. I'll let my neighbor know to expect there to be sawing, etc...going on, but they're my trees plain and simple.

In HB trees are protected.. you're going to need a permit for anything with a diameter greater than 4", regardless of where it is.

That pulls high vacuum... I wonder if the previous owner of my house got the necessary permits before she cut down 7 trees!

In Wiley's hood at the cost of real estate there, fuel costs shouldn't be a problem where you have to cut all the dam trees to stay warm this winter

How rude. The new neighbors are certainly not making a good impression. Sorry Wiley

If you check the HB code book, you can't tie your horse to a tree, as the horse might kick and damage the tree... (no, I'm not joking )

I think if you plant a new tree as a replacement, they are better about it. Heard that from a neighbor..

At times I love it... though there is one tree in my yard I want gone, and I wouldn't mind cutting off pieces of my walnut trees and using it to make some pens, jewelry boxes, etc... I just need to keep it under 4" around, which limits me...

But for the most part, I definitely like it
