I usually take about 9-10 days each in June, July and August.

In June, we'll stick around and do day trips, work in the yard, I'll mess around with my old car.

July, spend a week or so in Avon

August, we're still trying to decide where to go.

Spending a week in AC in July. I like gambling but to be honest I'm just looking forward to reclining on a balcony overseeing the ocean and drinking a beer while doing it. Very few things in the world are more pleasurable than a warm ocean breeze in your face and a cold beer in your hand.

I wait until early fall as the beaches etc are cluttered with people in the summer...hate crowds
Plan on going down to the Wilmington NC area in Sept to enjoy the beaches and see if it is a place I'd like to reside in during the winter Then hop over to Morrisville ( by Cary) to visit friends who moved there last year and if we have time visit SIL in Beaufort SC

Our vacation this summer isn't so much a vacation as it is an expedition. We're heading to Austin, TX for 10 days to house hunt.
