Look where you are getting your information and who is making a statement about it? Come on, you know this story is biased and shouldn't be taken seriously. In fact, I see it about as dirty as politics can get.

I thought that Lt. Gov. Denish's questions were valid and she is certainly within her rights to make a statement about the situation. Isn't that what candidates do?
So, it's best to just ignore any bad press about your candidate? That's keeping an open mind! Are you as willing to overlook anything regarding Denish?
No, I wouldn't say that, and I will add, she isn't my candidate. I don't even live in NM, but if I did, yes, she would be my candidate and yes, I think D.D. should be careful what she says and does. It will just backfire on her. Let someone else bring it up, but the an opponent. D.D. will do anything thing she can to win, if it means fighting dirty she will do that as well.
The Journal is the conservative paper. The Tribune, which shut down, was the liberal one.
No, the Journel isn't a conservative paper. It isn't totally liberal either but does lean that way. To me the Tribune was almost the same paper, just came out in the afternoon.
In fact there are very few, truely conservative papers anymore. We happen to have one here, though it is a good mixture, it does lean right.
When we left NM the Journel had turned into more of a Hollywood gossip paper than anything.

Of course you thought it was valid, you are pulling for her as hard as you can, and that is OK, she is the type of Governor that would satisfy you. I am seeing it differently if I still lived in NM. I think she will do anything to discredit her opponent. I didn't say she wasn't within her rights. Being within your rights and being right can be too different things. just like doing something that might be considered morally wrong may not be against the law.

I'm guessing you are very conservative. The Journal is right-leaning, and always has been since my family began subscribing 30+ years ago. There are plenty of right-leaning papers in the United States. In my current city, we have the Dallas Morning News.
If you're referring to the Democrat-Gazette as our local conservative paper, my parents live in Arkansas now, and it's a very conservative paper--far more than just "leans right."

I subscribed to the ABQJ 3-4 years ago for a few months prior to moving, and it seemed more left-leaning to me. It may be different now...I haven't read it at all since that time.
But I also moved from conservative West Texas/Midland, so that may factor in. I don't think that there is any place in NM that is as conservative as some places in TX, especially Midland.
But Midland is changing, and it's not all to the better, either.
