A large chunk of the gentrifiers I know are Hispanic, black, or Asian. Some of the hipster bars I go to will have as many "people of color" as white people in attendance.

And Asian in general gentrify neighborhoods in their own ways, look how expensive Flushing and Bensonhurst have become. Asians are the most prosperous ethnic group in the US.
