As long as there is no border fence, anyone can walk anywhere in the BRONX. They can use Riverdale parks, walk around in Riverdale, eat at restaurant in Riverdale and then go back home to the Marble Hill projects or elsewhere....good thing Riverdale is close by.....at least the poor ppl can wander over and enjoy a bit of the good life!
That's what I fear is happening. The good life won't be good if that trend continues from the Bronx.
I always thought there were more Irish-Americans in North Riverdale than Irish at least thinking in recent years anyway. Question: Where were you at before moving to the Bronx and what brought you there?
Before moving to The Bronx I lived in Williamsburg ,Brooklyn for 15 years. Before that I lived in Manhattan for 20 years mostly UWS.Moved to NYC from Boston to go to college and have been here since.I moved to The Bronx because I grew to hate what happened to Williamsburg and I decided to move closer to my work, which is in The South Bronx.

I knew I had to move here no matter what the price was, and luckily for me I found a great place, had a great broker and the rest is history. I've been here for several years now and wouldn't trade it for anything. My only concern is that the neighborhood stays as beautiful and as quaint as I first remember it.

North Riverdale is actually becoming more Jewish. BTW sad to see the old Greentree is no more.
