I didn't know they converted that school! My brother used to work there many years ago. Do you know when it became a HS? Would make more sense for them to go there since Adams is farther away.
I always liked the variety of dining in HB. Some restaurants have closed but there's a decent amount of places along Crossbay. Danny's had closed then re-opened a few years ago. I haven't noticed if it's still open or if it was affected by Sandy.
I think sometime after 2007. I went to 202 between 2001-2003, when it was still just a middle school [or Junior High back then].

That place closed down a long time ago. I had a lot of good childhood memories there.
hearing about HB reminds of the Michael Griffith tragedy in 1986

Really trying to turn this discussion into something else, huh? There was the kid with the bat a few years back. I'm sure there is a lot more to the neighborhood than just those two unfortunate hours in its history.

Exactly G-Dale
That was then so let's leave it there. I go to Lenny's Clam Bar quite often and EVERYONE of EVERY race goes there. The OP is asking about the neighborhood TODAY. HB is a very friendly neighborhood and let me say, after Sandy, I've never seen a community come together like that.
my biggest gripe is that it is such a pita to get to-- sort of isolated, but some people def like that. I don't know about th eschools, but I would bet that many families use the Catholic schools.
