Thanks for that info lightweightbaby. I wish I had gone to the
seminar, I didn't realize they were having one unfortunately. I hope they start contacting people soon, fingers crossed.
i just dont' get why we are paying so much money for maintenance. I'm assuming to maintain the building as it is a BIG building, elevators, the front yard and even a back yard, the business. There are no security guards for this navy condo. I was told during the seminars.
Hi lightweightbaby- I don't remember I attached a self addressed envelope with the application. Do you know if that means the application will be immediately rejected? I am for sure qualified.
You said the seminar informs that tenants have to own the place for at least 10 years before selling? Does this mean the tenants have to live in the apartment for said years?

You only need to send a self-addressed envelope if you are requesting an application. If you download one from online and mail it in then no need to send the SA Envelope.
Of the people participating in this thread, do most of you have preferences? If my calculations are correct, after all preference groups are exhausted, there are going to be 28 non preference apartments left. And are most going for a 1bd or something bigger? I am going for a 1 bedroom.
What is the odd of getting 3 bedrooms? Since there are only 7 units available. Assume there will be 50,000 applicants. So 50,000 divide by 7 = 1 out of 7,142 applications?

you can sell the apartment at anytime as you wish but you do need to pay back the subsidy. After 10 years then you don't need to pay the subsidy when you sell it. For every year you own the property you will gain equity and paid less and less of the subsidy back when you sell it. once you reach 10 years you pay back $0 subsidy. you have 100 % equity
I've applied to many many many affordable properties and rentals but I've never got a call back to pick an apartment. I have went as far as speak to a loan officer and check my credit. wish everyone good luck!
Source? The selling agent told me. They said the applicants would not receive their log #. When u get call then you would know.
