I've lived amongst and have done business with many Orthodox Jews. They marry thru religion, not by law and they know how to work the system very well.

I knew one in particular who was very well off. His wife collected welfare benefits so that she would have healthcare for all of the children. Most of them operated this way.

Can't speak for the Russians as I have no experience with them.

Some do that, but not all.

Borough Park has one of the highest poverty rates in NYC.

The only party advocating for any kind of affordable health insurance for middle class people (albeit the imperfect Obamacare - but it's better than nothing, and nothing was what was available before) are the Democrats.
How do you know its affordable?

Because they want to keep their tax dollars and not fund leeches. This election is widely agreed to have been a referendum on the democrat's abandoment of the middle class.

How do Republicans help the middle class? They only help the wealthy.

Obamacare is more affordable than insurance that existed for purchase before.
It needs improvement and needs to be more affordable. But it's better than nothing.
And nothing was what existed before.

(Meanwhile the poor have always been able to access health insurance through Medicaid.)

This is true. They only help the wealthy, generally by stopping the wealthy from having to prop up/help the poor, because the GOP cares more about rich money than poor hunger. But the democrats ONLY help the poor, largely at the cost to the working and middle class. The rich are too politically powerful to ever pay their fair share, so all the money for the left's social programs largely come from the middle and working classes, in addition to the lax immigration and H1B policies which make the current job crisis for Americans even worse. Maybe this could have changed if the DNC had put up Sanders who would have actually fought the rich, but they put up "social issues politically correct rich shill" Clinton instead, further alienating middle and working class voters and proving (or making it seem like) the DNC's talk of helping the middle class is all talk.

If you're working or middle class, you're ****ed either way. Nobody has your back, but everybody SAYS they do.

Frankly, I would argue that Trump gave a lot more hope to the middle and working class than Clinton, with his heavy focus on jobs and such, even though he was lying about everything and more people should have realized that he would never actually help them. At least he brought attention to these things instead of bragging about shutting down coal miners...

How can you argue with statistics. The average income in Borough Park is low.

Of course he was lying. Any middle or working class person who voted for Trump is an idiot not to see that he was and is a liar.
