The higher-band studios are absurd. In one development, I was eligible for both the second-highest and highest-band studios. I would've taken the second-highest, but the highest was all that was available and was $2400+. That's nuts. That's like 20% more than I pay to live in my (old, shabby) 1-bed.

It's true that there are probably fewer 40% and 60% AMI people posting here than in higher bands, though.

Hey! I'm on the same boat. My number in the low 3000 and waiting on a unit. Just waiting game since February. At this point I really doubt something will happen.

Although I hear that 40 and 60%'rs are actually in the many. The 60% is super competitive while people who are in the 120 and above have a bit of breathing room.

I'm sure they are more represented in the application pool; I just think they're underrepresented here.

@KITTY - Interview and paperwork all submitted at the beginning of February. They say I have to wait for those that are ahead of me. To see if they qualified or accept the apartment.

I'm the same situation. Waiting game is killing me. Mine were submitted at the beginning of March.

@Lloyd09.. Are you waiting on microunit? I know there is only one left and they waiting to approve the person ahead of me. So the chances are low.
