I took the physical today and was wondering if the amount of time you took to complete the test has any impact on when they might call you for the next step in the hiring process ??? (completed the test with good timing)
Haha wow
Your list number is the only thing that gets you through the next steps not how fast you finished a test where if you don't pass they literally test you to see if you're retarded
Technically, your next step would probably be to sign up for the next test. You want to hedge your bets and make sure you don't waste time if you miss out on 5001. Plenty of people were on both lists at one time and got hired from the older list.
FWIW, it's already been discussed in prior posts what's next so use your own due diligence. No one can (or will, even if they knew) tell you the timing of when pre-o, CDL training, and FP will take place because nobody knows.
Well if last list number hired was 45xx ( I think that was last # hired ) and you're 68xx, they hiring 1000 people this year so they say. Based on that, and a hiring ratio of 1 to 2.5 ( at the very best ) they'll reach list # 7000 approximately for this year. So if it is true you have a decent shot for this year. If they hire 1000 people you'll be hired towards end of year , so you'll go thru medical and everything around summertime.
Again this all depends on if they hire as many people as they say they are.
Or they can turn around and hire zero people , but union is saying it's a big hiring year so hope for best
My list# is 60xx and my Strength test isn't until Feb. why would a higher number get the test first?
My list # is 748x. I just got called for physical. I also have tuned 50 since I took the written 5 yrs ago. Any chance at this job?
I know a guy who took the job at 52. The test is fairly easy but I would start stretching and doing some heavy lifting (perhaps some light weights) at home for a few days or weeks before the test to get your body ready.
As for getting hired, there is no age limit. Up to you to decide if your body can handle the strenuous physical activity.
I got hired in September and I can tell you know there is no type of training in the gym that can prepare you for this job. It’s an adjustment process that takes weeks or months.
4402 is probably getting the worst of everything?!? The more senior guy in that class probably isn’t being sent all of over ny? Am I right? There’s at least 149 people below him.

Nope not true, everybody gets split up at the end of class in many different garages, so even if your #10 in the entire class and get sent to a garage with 5 ppl that got you beat, you are the bottom guy in that specific garage.
