Hey guys,

List #47xx the last thing I did was pass my physical. I understand last hired was 4402 so I am wondering if I should have received a letter or email by now? I also understand theres a chance the list will expire before they get to me but a strong possibility it wont. I have my CDL permit but would I still be able to get my CDL thru DSNY? I understand this would set me back from getting hired sooner but will it disqualify me from this opportunity altogether?

thanks

Why take that chance if you want the job? Just get it on your own. You have the possibility of being hired this coming year. If you miss the window for not spending a couple of hundred dollars do you think it wi be worth it?

yep I agree with you on that, I am in the same boat on that. What is recommended to get the CDL with? School bus or tractor trailer? Just trying to find an easier route in passing.

From what I’ve seen it’s school busses with a class B license.

School Bus Class B. Easiest to drive.

You don't need Tractor Trailer for this job. That would be a Class A License and a lot more money to get.

Also no need to drive a Manual transmission, Automatic Only.

They move an avg of 400-500 list numbers per class. If you don't get in the first class then definitely next class after that.
